Fisk Fielder, P.C., now known as Fisk Alexander, P.C., is a small boutique firm with a highly developed focus in construction law and litigation, and in particular, the representation of design professionals. The firm was formed in 1988 as a spin off of the Law Offices of Robert M. Greenberg, operating as Greenberg Fisk & Fielder, P.C., in Dallas, Texas. The predecessor firm provided representation in all manner of insurance defense litigation, particularly medical device and construction products liability. In 1988, the new firm was structured around two divisions: (1) construction law and litigation headed by architect/attorney Hollye C. Fisk, FAIA, and (2) general liability and insurance defense litigation headed by attorney R. Lynn Fielder. In the mid 1990s the firm’s primary focus shifted further to the construction side as attorney R. Lynn Fielder developed the representation of residential contractors in construction litigation and moved more into the broader construction practice of the firm as an expansion of his original areas of practice.
In 2003 the firm was pleased to welcome architect/attorney D. Wilkes Alexander, AIA, to the team and in 2011, to recognize his extraordinary capabilities, he was made a partner. The firm numbers among its long-term clients the largest steel producer in the world, together with its joist and deck subsidiary, also the largest in the world, as well as 6 of the top 10 architectural/engineering firms in the world and a large majority of professional liability insurance carriers for both architects and engineers. The firm has represented hundreds of design professionals throughout Texas in state and federal court and has appeared on a pro hac vice basis in Oklahoma, Florida, South Dakota, Louisiana, California, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean
The three principals have a combined 85 years of litigation experience having tried hundreds of lawsuits and arbitrations which experience is brought to the table in the representation of current clients.
